Schumacher is a legend, but i highly doubt it is him. i think he has much better things to do than be the stig on top gear.
Actually, Schumacher was only on as the Stig to drive the Ferrari FXX. Since he is the Ferrai test driver, Ferrari would only allow Schumacher to drive the car on Top Gear.
